浅论明朝人认知日本的局限性

明朝人突破以往主要由中国古代官方政府垄断记述日本的传统格局,纷纷私撰记述。其数量之多,所述范围之广,远远超过了以往任何一个时代。由此反映出明朝人对日本认识、了解的内容从广度和深度上都达到了前所未有的程度,进入了中国古代认识、了解日本的一个新的时期。然而,由于中国古代华尊夷卑的理念以及明朝本国综合国力强大等因素的影响,明朝人对日本的了解、认识也还是存在不少的缺陷,具有一定的局限性。

Cognitive Limitation of Japan in the Ming Dynasty

People in the Ming Dynasty began to record Japan privately instead of exclusively officially. Both the number and scope of the record was expanded to such an extent that they were beyond compare, which reveals the great breadth and depth of people's cognition of Japan. However, due to the ancient Chinese idea that Chinese people are superior to any other nations as well as the fact that the Ming Dynasty was strong and prosperous, cognition of Japan of people in the Ming Dynasty is limited.
