The growth of modern nation-state experiences three periods: Late Qing,Democratic Nation and New China.We can summarize three features of China state-building from the historic process of its development.Firstly,the combination of study and self-creativity;Secondly,the political parties have played a very important role in the state-building;Thirdly,there are some apparent differences between systematic form and its actual operation.Looking back upon the history and summarizing the features can supply the experiences and lessons to modern nation state-building.In order to build a harmonious society,China should devote itself to the state-building in three aspects: First of all, strengthen and improve the system of the state's supervising and control;In the second place,improve the systematic procedure level of state political power operation;Third,strengthen party construction and promote party hold power ability.
