| Abstract: | The philosophy in ancient Sichuan is the soul of ancient Sichuan culture, which experiences 4 development periods from Yan Junping, the first philosopher with writings, to Liao Ping in late Qing Dynasty. The 4 perrods include the Wei and Jin period when the philosophy focuses on the interpretation of classical Confucianism, then the Sui and Tang period when the philosophy absorbs Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, then Song, Yuan and Ming period when Confucianism reaches its perfection, called Song Confucianism, and finally the closing period from late Ming to early Qing Dynasty when the Song Confucianism is criticized and classical Confucianism interpretation expires. |
