To break the vicious circle, we must strive to promote the foreign trade and economic cooperation with characteristics. This will be the road to the development of the foreign trade and economic cooperation in the minority areas in western China. Also, it will be the effective way to meet and participate to the market competition and enhance the international competitive strength. Consequently, we must, on the foundation of industrial development, make efforts to promote the exportation of special local products and enlarge the frontier trade and economic cooperation. Moreover, various measures must be adopted in the exploitation of special local resources and in the development of international tourism. All these will help to speed up the foreign trade and economic cooperation as well as the whole economy in western China.
