| 摘 要： | 《山海经》里的神秘数字有着特殊意义。抽取《山海经》中所包涵特殊数字 (即具暗示性而不纯粹为一般形容和计数功能之数 )的神话记述 ,进行分析 ,可寻找出《山海经》内之神秘数字 :三、四、五、九 ;从各神秘数字于《山海经》神话记载中之共通性及文本透露之线索 ,抽丝剥茧 ,解析其源起和象征意义 ,可发现神秘数字与初民时空观念间之密切关系 :数字三是“超越” ,象征“创生” ;数字四是“四方” ,象征“秩序” ;数字五是“中心” ,象征“完美” ;数字九是“边际” ,象征“极限”。笔者对《山海经》本文之客观统计与分析 ,辅以文字学原理 ,并引证人类学资料 ,冀能以《山海经》为基始 ,解开神秘数字之谜。

The key to time and space--An analysis of mysterious figures in Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas |

| Abstract: | The figures in the Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas have special meanings.An analysis of the mythical stories containing special figures reveals that the mysterious figures are 3,4,5 and 9.A further exploration on their origin and symbolic meanings finds that there is a close relationship between these figures and ancient people's conception of time and space.This paper intends to have these legends classified and analysed with the help of literary theories and anthropological data in order to solve the mystery of these figures. |
