文学欣赏是一项审美活动,欣赏的美感根源在于作品对象化地显现了欣赏者的某些本质,使他在作品中看到了自己.具体表现在三方面.其一,欣赏是一种自我实现,读者实现了扬美斥丑的理想.其二,欣赏是一种自我满足,满足了读者"大开眼界"的追求.其三,欣赏是一种自我发现,作者从中发现自我命运、价值与情感.

On the Source of Aesthetic Feeling in Literature Appreciation

Literature appreciation is an aesthetic activity. The essence of beauty lies in the objectification of man's intrinsical power. This shows that the source of the aesthetic feeling exists in the essence of the reader being visualized by the writing so that the reader sees himself in the literary work. This is shown in three fields: 1) Appreciation is a kind of self-achievement, the reader realizing the ideal of praising the good and denouncing the evil; 2) Appreciation is a kind of self-satisfaction, the reader being satisfied with his view broadened; and 3) Appreciation is a kind of self-discovery, the reader discovering his own fate, values and emotions.
