八卦名义说

正确理解八卦名义,有助于理解《易》本义,有助于深入发掘中国早期哲学。八卦之"乾"字本有向上、上达、刚健、不息之义,与"健"同,故曰"乾,健也";"坤"从申声,象地,其德当为厚,而不得曰"坤,顺也";"坎"谓地面低陷处,水之所在,故以代水,其德当为入,不得曰"坎,陷也";"离"借为"丽",取明丽义,而非附丽义;"巽"为卦名专字,其德当为顺,不得曰"巽,入也";"艮"借为"限"而有止义,本当音限;"兑"为"悦"古字,本当读"悦"。
