关于当代中国核心价值观的思考

我国自古即有构建核心价值观的传统。尧舜时代的"五教"、秦汉至明清的"三纲五常"、民国时期的礼义廉耻,是我国历史上三个时代构建的三种核心价值观。鉴古而知今。我们今天不能任由核心价值观卤莽灭裂,舍弃不顾。当代中国价值观多元并存。构建当代中国核心价值观,必须以社会主义文化、外来欧美文化、本土固有文化为思想资源。古今社会不同,"药方只贩古时丹"不可;中外社会不同,"药方只贩外国丹"亦不可。我们必须着眼于中国社会转型及其未来发展,以国情民意为基础,以放之四海而皆准的普世价值为取材对象,构建自由、民主、公正、诚信的当代中国核心价值观。

On the Essential Values of Contemporary China

Chinese have formed traditions to construct essential values since ancient times.In the history of China,three kinds of essential values were set up in three periods: five virtues during the periods of Emperor Yao and Emperor Shun;three cardinal guides and five constant virtues from Qin and Han Dynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties;four pillars of the State—ritual,righteousness,integrity and honor in the period of Republic of China.By tradition,we should construct contemporary essential values.At present there are various values in China,therefore,we must pay attention to socialism culture,western civilization and traditional Chinese legacy.In view of the difference between ancient times and now,between western and China,we can't take conveniently from ancient and western.Instead,we should keep national conditions and the people in mind based on social transformation and development of China,and get idea from universal values of all humanity.At last we shall construct essential values of contemporary China: freedom,democracy,righteousness,and sincerity.
