汉唐时期的西域古代语文及其对中国文明的贡献

长期以来,国人忽略了古代西域(新疆)汉唐时期使用的几种语文——即吐火罗语与和田塞语。自从19世纪末20世纪初这些已死亡近千年的语文被发现以来,经过国内外学者几代人的努力,人们重新认识了古代西域曾经存在过的辉煌文化和文明。这是我国大国学中不可分割的一部分,应引起国内学者的注意和重视。

Languages Used in the Western Regions of China during Han and Tang Dynasties and Their Contributions to the Chinese Civilization

For a long time,languages,such as Tocharian and Khotanese,used in the western regions of China(Xinjiang) during Han and Tang Dynasties were ignored by researchers.It has not been realized until the turn of the 19th century into the 20th century that the traces of these already disappeared languages were discovered.Works of foreign and domestic scholars for several generations finally reveal the splendid culture and brilliant civilization that once existed in the western regions of China in ancient time.Domestic scholars should arouse the attention on the research of these languages since it is an integral part of our country’s sinology.
