| Abstract: | Painting of man-of-letters and New Year folk picture are two wonderful flowers in traditional Chinese painting. Between them, however, there are differences not only in political inclination, ideological connotation and motive of creation but also in aesthetic orientation, aesthetic pursuit and artistic treatment. Undoubtedly, comparisons made between them will be significant to the present painting. |
