| 摘 要： | 《嘉莉妹妹》是美国伟大的自然主义作家德莱塞的处女作,讲述的是农村少女嘉莉如何从社会底层登上白老汇红舞星宝座的过程,细腻地展示了嘉莉的生存景观及心路历程。本文试从马斯洛的不同层次需要理论出发,分析嘉莉为满足需要而走向自我迷失的内在原因;同时,从外界环境、城市生活的诱惑等方面强调了外在的原因,凸显出作者的阶级观念和自然主义文学观。

Comment on Dreiser's Literary Concept Based on Sister Carrie |

| Abstract: | Sister Carrie is the first work of Theodore Dreiser. It tells us how a country maiden becomes a famous star in Broadway. In the novel, Dreiser describes the living conditions and emotion changes of Carrie very vividly. This article attempts to analyse the causes of Carrie's loss from the angle of her own needs and strong desires based on Abraham H. Maslow's needs theory and the forces of the external world, illustrating Dreiser's literary concept. |
