| Abstract: | Cognitive linguistics believes that metaphor is no more than a deviant phenomenon of language but a way people perceive the world,also a powerful tool of cognition.The interpretation of the metaphoric feature,his intended purposes and reasons for choosing those metaphors in his inaugural speech are of great importance,which is helpful in further understanding the function and essence of metaphor. |
