| Abstract: | By examining examples of mistranslation,this paper renders a typical demonstration of the vital importance of basic language knowledge to translating practice,in which much attention should first be paid to such intra-linguistic relations as syntactic structure,anaphora and allusion to avoid misunderstanding and mistranslation,and then to the skill and art,and function etc.The latter is based on the former,which is essential to exact translation. |
