功利主义科研政策导向的危害及文化渊源

我国科研政策具有明显的功利主义取向,表现为重应用研究轻基础研究、重理工学科轻人文社会学科、重跟前利益轻长远效益。长此以往,必将导致我国科学的畸形发展。中国传统文化重视工具理性、欠缺纯粹理性的品格是当今功利主义科研政策导向的文化渊源。中国先民宗教意识的淡薄决定了古代科研活动必然是重术轻学、重实用轻理论,难以做到“为科学而科学”。

The Jeopardy and Cultural Origin of Utilitarian Policy in Scientific Research

The policy in scientific research in China is obviously utilitarian, e.g. regarding applicadon, technology and short-term benefit as superior to fundamental research, humanities, social sciences and long-term benefit. If this continues, it will lead to an abnormal development of national science. The Chinese traditional cultures where the reasoning of vehicles has been regarded as superlor to pure reasoning are the cultural origin of utilitarian policy in today's scientific research. The lacking of religious conscious-ness in ancient Chinese people detennined that they highlighted technology and application and belittled science and theory, which makes scence for sake of science unreached.
