| Abstract: | Western Region cultures played an important role in forming and developing the customs of putting up lanterns during Chinese Lantern Festival.The introduction of plays from Western Region is the premise of the formation of lantern customs,the lighting of lanterns to respect Buddha by Emperor Yang in the Sui Dynasty is the true cause for the formation of lantern customs,and the lantern rotations from Western Region promote the development of the lantern customs. |
