| Abstract: | Dictionary translation is to abide by the principle of functional equivalence.This paper tentatively analyzes the translation of some illustratins in COBUILD English-chinese Dictionary from such aspects as semantics,form,style and culture.On the basis of the above-mentioned theory,more sensible renditions have been given to replace those problematic translations. |
