论龚贤的绘画思想

摘    要:龚贤立“四要”为论画之纲,是谢赫、荆浩之后的重要提法。“三品”、“三派”之论,是为“逸品”争回地位的反潮流之举。关于画家修养,他以性情为创作原动力,以读书、养气、闭户为修养途径,“闭户”之说并无碍对“行万里路”的推崇。他重视“师古”,以“取证于晋唐宋人”相号召,但又肯定师而能变。其技法论切实明白,有很强的实用性,是既师造化又师古人精神的体现。

On Gong Xian's theory of painting

Abstract:Gong Xian's erection of the "Four Musts"as the guideline for the theory of painting is an important idea following the theory of Xie He and Jing Hao. The theory of the "Three Types" and the "Three schools " is aimed at restoring position for the "hermit type". As for the painter's self-cultivation,he maintained that the painter should depend on dispostion for motivation and seek the path of cultivation by reading spirit-preserving and shutting himself in,the last of which did not affect the high esteem he had for the norm of "go thousands of miles" in the practice of the art. While highly valuing the principle of "following the ancients" and calling for "referring to the artists of the Jin,Tang and Song Dynasties as standards", he insisted that changes could be made. The skills he upheld were clear and practicable and were a manifestation of the spirit of making changes as well as learning from the ancients.
