| 摘 要： | 近代外国基督教会在潮汕广泛的办学活动是他们传教的辅助手段。其办学活动客观上引进了西方科学文化知识，有它的启蒙作用；虽然由于这种办学活动的传教目的，使它具有了复杂的两重性，但其对潮汕教育事业的推动作用是应予肯定的，其影响是深远的。

| Abstract: | Foreign churches, especially Christian churches,ran schools on a large scale at Chaozhou and Shantou Area in modem china as an auxiliary means of preachment.Objectively,mission- ary schools introduced Western scientific knowledge into China and thus played an enlightening role.However,its religious mission determined its complicated duality.The author is of opinion that the part played by missionary schools running in pushing forward the educational undertakings at Chaozhou and Shantou Area in modern times is a passive one,but its influence has been far-reaching. |
