浅谈21世纪我校图书馆员的素质

21世纪新技术革命浪潮的冲击，给高校图书馆带来了新的机遇和挑战，同时也对图书馆员的素质提出了更高的要求。在新形势下，馆员不但要具有盘好的政治思想素质，树立人文精神，坚持以读者为本原则，并且还应具备一定的法律知识和信息素养能力。文章就提高馆员素质的主要途径进行了重点分析，指出只要图书馆领导重视，创造人文环境，馆员自身努力，就一定能追就出一批思想过硬、业务过强的人才队伍。

Brief Discusion on Abilities of Librarian of ECIT in 21 st Century

With the development of modern technology, the libraries in institutions of higher learning are faced with both challenges and chances. At the same time, more demands are made on the librarians. Under the present circumstances, they should have good political quality and attainments of humanities and adhere to the readers first principle. They also have to get prepared with the basic knowledge of law and mastery in information search- ing. The paper is intended to provide some main approaches to improving their ability. With the attention of ad- ministrators and efforts made by librarians themselves, a group of qualified librarians can be cultivated.
