公众演讲课:提高口语交际能力的突破口

摘    要:现阶段大学生英语口语交际能力不容乐观,本文依据Sw a in的可理解输出假设,提出通过为学生开设公众演讲课来提高学生的口语质量。问卷调查及课堂实践经验证明,教学效果十分显著。

Abstract:In learning to speak English,most college students tend to neglect the quality of their speech in order to achieve fluency of a message.Such a long-standing mistaken idea contributes to the fact that students,while getting seemingly fluent in whatever they express,actually communicate inefficiently and make little progress in speaking.On the basis of the "Comprehensible Output" theory proposed by Swain,the author argues that public speaking lessons can help students make progress toward learning quality conversation,and presents our teachers with a good variety of successful classroom teaching methods.
