加快发展高等教育是改革开放和现代化建设的需要。加大政府对高等教育的投入 ,加快高校后勤社会化的改革步伐 ,发展民办高校等是扩大高等教育资源的基本思路。要面向市场经济、面向基层、面向企业、面向经济建设的主战场发展高等教育。教育是产业 ,但不能“产业化”。高校体制改革是加快发展高等教育的战略措施

Thinking on Speeding up the Development of Higher Education in China

Speeding up the development of our higher education is what we need for our opening reform and construction of modernization. Our basic thinking is to increase the government input, pick up the reform of logistic socialization of colleges and universities and advocate the establishment of non-governmental higher educational institutions. We should develop our higher education to meet the needs of market economy, basic grass-roots units, enterprises and main battlefields of economic construction. Education is an industry, but it cannot be industrialized. Our strategic measure for speeding up the development of higher education is to carry out the higher educational system reform.
