古代辽宁地区城镇变迁考论

据考古发现,在夏家店下层文化时期,辽西地区已经出现了古代城堡。燕、秦、汉时期,形成了辽宁早期的城镇体系。从魏晋一直明清时期,辽宁城镇经历了频繁的大规模的盛衰演变。在其历史发展过程中,秦汉时期、两晋南北朝时期、辽朝前期、清代末期出现了四次建城高潮。古代辽宁地区的城镇,具有鲜明的少数民族特色;而且与中原地区相比,多为中小城镇;多数城镇沿用了辽代城址,历史均在千年以上;但由于历史的动荡发展,古代辽宁城镇呈现出断代性发展的特点,城镇经济和文化多次经历摧毁后重建的过程,城镇布局也屡经变化,到清代末年才奠定近现代城镇的基本格局。

Investigation of town vicissitudes of ancient Liaoning

Based on archeology discoveries,ancient castles appeared in western Liaoning in the period of lower Xiajiadian culture.In Yan-Qin-Han dynasties,early urban system had formed.From Wei-Jin dynasties to Ming-Qing dynasties,Liaoning towns experienced frequent big rises and falls.During these historical development,cities and towns boomed four times in Qin-Han dynasties、Nan-Bei dynasties、Liao dynasty and late Qing dynasty.The towns in ancient Liaoning Province all had distinctive characteristics of ethnic minorities.Compared with the towns in central plains region,they were much smaller.Most towns were based on the sites of those in Liao dynasty which had lasted for thousand years.Because of the historical turbulence,the development of towns was not continuous,with its economy and culture ruined and rebuilt times and again.Not until the late Qing dynasty,did the basic layout of modern towns come to its form.
