文学翻译作为跨文化交际活动,涵盖的不只是机械的语符转换过程和这个过程的产品,而是包括有着复杂的人文背景的社会文化传承,是宏观的社会文化氛围和微观的译者文化取向对文学翻译活动的动机、运作过程、社会反响、历史价值等方面的渗透、制约和影响。文学翻译实践活动,是在从原作到译作的语言形态、内在逻辑形态和文化形态的变异中实现的,文化传承与形态变异的辩证统一,构成了文学翻译的本质内涵。

Thoughts on the Connotative Nature of Literary Translation

As a cross-cultural communicative practice, literary translation covers not only conversion of language symbols but also transference of cultures with complicated social backgrounds. Restricted by social and cultural demands and the translator's cultural orientation,it is accomplished in the morphological variations of different languages, inner logic, and different cultures. The dialectical unity of cultural transference and morphological variation constitutes its connotative nature.
