| 摘 要： | 主位推进模式是英语语篇分析的重要依据,在英语语篇的构筑,发展以及建立语义连贯的各个环节,主位推进模式都起到重要作用;通过对句子主位的切分可以了解语篇内部各个句子之间的内在联系和信息的分布规律,把主位推进模式应用于具体的语篇分析,可用以指导英语语篇的翻译和连贯作文教学。

| Abstract: | In this paper the author discusses the relationship between genre and the thematic progression pattern.Through the analysis of a piece of composition written by a college student,it is found that different texts differentiate in uses of the thematic progression pattern.However,there is no clear-cut line between different genre in the thematic progression pattern. |
