论英语阅读中的文化干扰因素

阅读过程是个复杂的心理语言过程。阅读中,不仅受到语言因素和非语言因素影响,而且还要受到中西文化因素的干扰。教师在教学时,应从文化差异入手,鼓励学生经常浏览一些有关英语国家的风土人情、历史地理、政治与社会、文学与艺术、宗教与信仰的书刊资料,来缩小文化差异的影响。

ON CULTURAL INTERFERE FACTORS IN ENGLISH READING

Reading comprehension is a complicated psycholinguistic process .It is restricted by language factor and nonverbalfactor as well as the cultural differences between English and Chinese. This paper has made a sample of some typicalculturally-loaded word and expression in English and Chinese on the basis of sociolinguistics and intercultural communication .Themain emphasis has been laid on the perception of some culturally-loaded words,lacking in lexical counterparts,differences inword-meaning association and imagination and distinctions in semantic meanings and word connotations as well as allusion andEuphemism. At last ,it gives some suggestions to the English teachers on how to do it.
