河北省在对各宗教经籍、历史的研究和对宗教做综合的研究上有很长的历史与相当可观的成就。新世纪伊始 ,河北省各宗教团体在与社会主义社会相适应的前提下健康发展。面对“法轮功”一类的邪教扯起宗教的旗号招摇过市 ,社会各界不得不把细划宗教和邪教的区别提上日程。河北省社会科学院成立的宗教与反邪教研究中心为此开展了卓有成效的工作
