| 摘 要： | 19世纪中叶女作家夏洛蒂.勃朗特创作的简.爱,与同时代男作家纳丹尼尔.霍桑笔下的海斯特.白兰,作为维多利亚时代典范的叛逆女性形象为人们所熟悉。虽同为时代的反叛者,但相距近两百年的这两位女性形象,却具有迥然各异的性格特色。本文试从宗教对主人公心理内化、与文本中其他人物关系以及文本中反复出现的特定意象隐喻三方面,从多侧面观照两位女主人公人物性格。

| Abstract: | Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre,and Nathaniel Hawthorne's Hester Prynne,were familiar among readership as typical rebellious female images in the middle of 19th century of the Victorian Age.Although they were both the rebels in their own periods,these two characters had totally different characters and personalities.This thesis aims to analyze the character and personality of the heroines through Religion Inner Effect,Character Relations and Specific Images. |
