| Abstract: | This paper deals with computing shortest width tolerance intervals controlling both tails of the exponential distribution on the basis of record values. Equal-tailed and shortest tolerance factors are derived. The expected widths of these tolerance intervals are evaluated via a Monte Carlo simulation study. Finally, two illustrative examples are also included. |
