| Abstract: | There are some common characteristics between English and Chinese, such as colour words, though English is part of Indo - European family while Chinese belongs to the Sino-Tibetan family. The paper tries to compare some colour words in their usage, and furthermore to explore the difference and similarity between English and Chinese in order to improve college English teaching. |
