摘    要:蒙文通在对待经史关系问题上,既主张经史分途,批评六经皆史说,又认为经、史有一定的联系。其经史观认为经学乃中国思想文化的无上法典,其影响远非史学等所及,不应以西方学科之分类来衡量经学,这在当时儒家经学扫地的时代背景下,对于保持和发扬中华文化传统,具有重要的意义。

Abstract:On the relationship between the study of Confucian Classics and history, Meng Wentong has two-side point. On one hand, he thinks that the two are different and he criticizes the view that the Six Classics are history; on the other hand, he holds that there exists some kind of connection between them. In his view on classical study and history, the study of Confucian Classics is the supreme code in Chinese thought and culture and its influence is far away from that of history. We shouldn' t weigh the study of Confucian Classics in terms of the classification of western subjects. This is of importance to keep and develop the traditional Chinese culture, under the very background that Confucian Classics was dispraised.
