The Economic Man is a basic supposition in economics.The history of the development of economics has proved that the supposition of the pursuit of maximum interests on the part of the economic man provides better explanations in economic analysis than any other opposite suppositions.On the basis of this supposition, the research scope of the contemporary economics has been widened and great success has been achieved while the traditional economics seems to have fallen into a dilemma as it overlooks this supposition.
