| Abstract: | English writing is troublesome for both Chinese English teachers and students. The present paper will trace back to some traditional writing teaching methods to find some false concepts. In analyzing some phenomena, the author gives some comments on prevalent approaches and lays great emphasis on communicative-orientated analysis, which correlates with the current ideas about the role of language-teaching. How can the teachers develop the English majors' ability of writing? A great deal by implication is realized in discussion. |
