摘    要:动机理论从兴盛期、寂静期到今天的复苏期,经历了半个多世纪,研究者们仍无法对其有一个确切的定义和分类。从认知、情感、社会环境等因素对动机影响的视角,讨论动机对SLA的影响以及在外语教学中的指导意义,同时指出了现行的动机理论研究中有待解决的问题及不足之处。

Abstract:Motivation Theory has been proceeding from the first prosperous period, then the silent period to the present reviving period for more than a half century. It's sill hard for researchers to give it an exact definition and classification. This paper tries to discuss function and meaning produced by motivation theory in foreign language teaching from the angle of cognition, emotion and social environment. Meanwhile, this paper also points out some problems existing in the present study of motivation theory.
