| 摘 要： | 运用生态心理学的动允性理论，分析指出英语中动结构的语义本质是对事物动允性的描述或评价，这一本质特征衍生了其情态性、泛指性等语义特征，并制约了其中各构成部分的合法生成，导致了其较低的能产性。

Affordance and English Middle Constructions |

| Abstract: | English middle constructions were analyzed based on the theory of affordance from ecologi-cal psychology.The analysis highlights that the essence of English middle constructions is to make e-valuation on the affordance of NP.And this essence results in the typical features of the construction, such as modality and generality,and also constrains its productivity. |
