| Abstract: | Intertextuality is an important category in contemporary western post-modernism.This article illustrates that intertextuality is an internal property of the text by analysing the human nature of the characters in A Streetcar Named Desire written by Tennessee Williams.Meanwhile,the author of this article concludes that the unique characterization and the intertextual relationships of characters arises due to the flexible use of intertextuality. |
