Moral Nobleness with Transcendence on the Social Contact between Su Shi and Dao Qian

Among Su Shi’s Buddhist friends,Dao Qian was the most intimate one.Their frienship began at Xuzhou,developed at Huangzhou and Hangzhou,and matured at Lingbiao.When Su Shi was in exile,there were frequent contacts between them including appreciating poems,discussing Buddhism,traveling,etc.Congeniality was the basis of their communication,the core of which was morality and justice.Dao Qian was a friend in need,who was a monk with high spirit.
