为什么说“整理国故”是一场运动

胡适本人虽然不曾对他提倡的“整理国故”冠之以“运动”的称谓，但“整理国故”确实在实践中形成了一场运动。无论从目的、组织、规模声势还是动态过程来看，“整理国故”都具备了所谓“运动”的一般特征。而且更关键的是，“整理国故运动”在当时就已经是一个约定俗成的通称，被诸多学者广泛运用。因此在这个意义上，将胡适揭橥的“整理国故”不仅看作一种理论主张，而且也视为一场颇具声势的学术文化运动，或许更符合当时的历史事实。
