余光中翻译思想略述

台湾诗人余光中一生事诗歌、散文、评论、翻译,且称其为自己写作“四度空间”。余光中先生在翻译中就翻译与创作关系、译者译德、诗歌翻译、翻译对中文影响等方面着重阐述了翻译的重要性,翻译是一种创作,译者要充分发挥中华文字的优势来从事翻译事业。先生的观点多属随感而发,且皆深深植根于中华传统文化,而国内尚无人作文对其予以总结描述,故而对其作一基本梳理,以彰显其要。

Brief Review of Yu Guangzhong's Translation Thoughts

Yu Guangzhong,a Taiwan poet,is engaged arduously in practicing poetry,prose,comment and translation,which he terms as his four-dimensional literary and artistic creation.This article is to stress translation's importance by introducing his translation study,that is,the relationship between translation and writing,professionalism of translators,poem translation,the influence translation exercises upon contemporary Chinese,etc.Translation is a kind of writing and translators should take advantage of Chinese characters when translating.Most of his views are random thoughts and deeply rooted in Chinese traditional culture.Since up to now no one has uttered any systemized words to summarize or describe them,this paper is to introduce his perspectives on translation,with a view to bring them into full play.
