焦作路矿学堂创办背景分析

清末的矿山开采中,外资厂矿由于技术先进、资金雄厚,控制着中国绝大部分矿冶的生产和销售。民族厂矿则因技术落后、人才匮乏,致使许多矿山经营亏损,甚或停产倒闭。面对如此困局,有识人士纷纷要求兴办矿冶学堂,培养矿冶人才。焦作路矿学堂就在这样的历史大背景下承担起了"办教育传承文明,引新学泽被华夏"的伟大历史使命,其办学宗旨和使命感一直传承至今,为中国和河南的近现代高等教育树立了光辉的典范。

On the Background of Establishing Jiaozuo Mine School

While, national factories wandered around the bankruptcy for its lack of advanced technology and professional employees. Confronted with such a big trouble, some thoughtful people suggested establishing mine school and cultivate the professionals in mining. Jiaozuo Mine School was established against such historical background, which took "passing down civilization by developing education, blessing China by introducing knowledge" as its mission that has always been descended to date and set a remarkable example for the contemporary higher education in Henan and China.
