隐喻认知理论与大学英语词汇教学

摘    要:隐喻不仅是一种普遍的语言现象,更是人类思维和认知世界的方式。作为认知和语言的纽带,隐喻在词汇教学中具有不可或缺的地位。从隐喻理论促进英语词汇教学的理论基础和词语的隐喻性质两方面阐述隐喻认知理论在大学英语词汇教学中的可行性,并提出相关的英语词汇教学方法。

Abstract:Metaphor is not only a language phenomenon but also a way of thinking and cognition.As a link between cognition and language,metaphor plays an indispensable role in vocabulary teaching.The feasibility of the application of this theory to vocabulary teaching is discussed,which is based on the analysis of the theoretical foundation and the metaphorical property of vocabulary.Then some suggestions are supplied to help teachers improve vocabulary teaching strategies.
