| Abstract: | The article studies the translator's subject role in literary translation in light of Reception Theory. It is held here that different translators, as reception subjects, naturally cognize and savor a text object from their own perceptions, gain different information from it, make different aesthetic judgement, and based on which, they concretize its indeterminate parts or define its implicit parts. Such activities inevitably carry subjectivity. In translation, they unavoidably lead to different versions. |
