中国方志源流探论

中国地方志历史悠久,源远流长。方志尽管不是中国特有的文化,但在世界范围内,中国的地方志编修时间最久、最成体系积累数量也最多。中国地方志源于古代,始于图经,成形于魏晋隋唐,成熟于宋元,盛行于明清,完备繁荣于当代。方志在总结历史,反映现实,服务当代,垂鉴后世方面发挥了重要作用。因此,我们可以毫无愧色地说,地方志是中国人民贡献于世界文献宝库的瑰宝。

On the origin of Chinese local chronicles

Chinese Local Chronicles has Long history and ancient origin.The contents of the Chronicles is not restricted to the traditional culture of Chinese characteristics,however,in comparison with others of the world,its editing period is the longest,its structure is the most systematic and its volume is the most abundant. The compilation of Chinese Local chronicles originated from antiquity,began with Tujing, shaped in the Dynasties of Wei,Jin,Sui and Tang,well organized during the period of the Song and Yuan Time,became popular in the Ming and Qing Time,and well-provided in present age.Chinese Local chronicles plays an important role in summarizing history,reflecting reality,serving contemporary and offering significant reference to later generations.Therefore,we can be full of pride to say that the Chinese Local chronicles is the most valuable treasure Chinese people contributing to the world culture.
