美国对中国在东南亚软实力的认知——以国会研究处报告和民意调查为中心的分析

20世纪末以来,美国高度重视并密切关注中国的崛起及中国在东南亚迅速增长的软实力.美国精英和公众对中国在东南亚的软实力的认知,美国和东南亚国家对中国软实力的认知,都表现出明显差异和递减效应.从美国认知这一"他者"的角度,可以进一步认识中国在东南亚的软实力.中国应客观评估美国对中国在东南亚软实力的认知,采取恰当的措施应对美国可能的政策反应.

The United States' Cognition of China's Soft Power in Southeast Asia:An Analysis on Congressional Research Service Reports and Opinion Polls

Since the end of the 20th century, the United States has attached great importance and paid great attention to the rise of China and the rapid growth of China's soft power in Southeast Asia. There is an obvious difference and a tendency of reduction between American elites' cognition and that of the public and between the United States and Southeast Asian countries. From the view of "the other ", i.e. through the United States' cognition, we can get a better understanding of China's soft power in Southeast Asia. We should assess objectively their cognition and take appropriate countermeasures to deal with the possible policy responses of the United States.
