摘    要:在 2 0世纪的 1 0 0年中 ,大学社会职能的传统内涵不断更新 ,职能之间的矛盾运动及职能的分化引起大学的多样化和差别化发展。教学职能的内涵表现为通识教育与专业教育的统一、科学教育与人文教育的融合 ;研究职能的内涵表现为“学”与“术”的统一 ,基础研究、应用研究、科技开发与成果转化的结合 ;服务职能的内涵表现为社会指向性、直接现实性和学术性的统一。教学与研究的矛盾运动使两大职能的协调与整合越来越显露出现实意义。

Abstract:During one hundred years in the 20\ \{th\} century, the traditional conotations of social functions of universities had been renewing continuously, the conflict movement among functions and their polarization had caused the development of diversification and distinctions of universities. The connotations of the teaching function embody the unification of the general education and the speciality education, and the amalgamation of the science education and humanity education as well. On the other hand, the connotations of the research function embody the unification of the "science" and the "technology", the combination of the research for basic theories, research for applications, development of science and technology, and the transformation of achievements. The connotations of service function embody the unification of social direction, direct reality and academia. The conflict movements between teaching and research make the coordination and integration of the two functions reveal more and more realistic significance.
