从《海娃的故事》到“乌贾马运动”——中国斯瓦西里文书刊的海外传播

1964-1979年15年间,中国面向东非出版发行了斯瓦西里文期刊《中国画报》和包含毛泽东著作、政治理论、国情介绍、文学艺术图书、儿童读物等斯瓦西里文图书约230种。《中国画报》在东非的累计发行数量接近了100万份,图书在东非累计发行了3 981 004册,其中儿童读物的总发行册数是676 482册。这些中国出版的斯瓦西里文书刊在东非产生了巨大影响。它们影响了坦桑尼亚总统尼雷尔推行的"乌贾马运动"。《海娃的故事》、《小马过河》等中国连环画在当地少年儿童中家喻户晓,有的甚至成为课堂识字的启蒙教材。它提醒我们,今天的中国文化要走出去,应充分重视中国儿童读物的海外传播。

From the Story of Haiwa to the Wujiama Movement:the Overseas Spread of Swahili Books(Chinese Version)

During the years of 1964-1979,China published 230 kinds of Swahili journals and books including China pictorial and Mao Zedong works,as well as literature,art books and children’s books.The China pictorial had issued cumulative numbers of 1 million copies in East Africa.Books in the east African had been issued up to 3 981 004,of which 676 482 are children’s books.These books on Swahili produced an enormous impact in East Africa.Some books such as The Story of Haiwa and Pony Crossed the River are becoming so popular that some are even chosen as the textbooks.It reminds us that we should pay full attention to the overseas spread of Chinese children’s books.
