英国教育史研究的历史和现状

在英国,教育史作为一个研究领域或学科已有一百多年的历史。1868年奎克(R.H.Quick)《教育改革家》一书的出版,被公认为英国教育史研究的开端。到19世纪90年代,教育史研究进入了第一个辉煌时期,教育史成为英国教师培训的重要内容。在20世纪60、70年代,教育史研究迎来了第二个辉煌期。然而,70年代中期开始的二十多年中,教育学院或教育系中的教育史研究进入持续的衰退之中,教育史在教师培训课程中的地位丧失殆尽。至世纪之交,英国教育史研究进入危机和希望并存的局面,少数教育学院中的教育史研究仍保持强劲势头。

The History and Present Situation of History of Education Studies in Britain

In Britain, history of education as a field of research or a subject has a history of more than 100 years. In the 1890s, studies on history of education entered its first splendid period, the second brilliant period occurred in the 1920s and the 1930s.However, since the middle of 1970s,the studies on history of education in education colleges or departments of education encountered a long-standing declining. At present, the studies on history of education in Britain have both crisis and hope at the same time.
