关于中产阶级和中间阶层

在市场转型以后，我国的中间阶层发生了很大的变化，出现了由独立经营者构成的新中间阶层，而且新、老中间阶层的更替速度非常快，作为改革以前典型的中间阶层的由国有企业职工组成的群体出现整体性的衰落。在任何社会中，中间阶层都是维系社会稳定的最重要的社会力量，因此，中国要获得经济稳定的发展，就应尽快实现从经济分化时期向中间阶层兴起时期的转化。

On Middle Class and middle Stratum

Great changes have taken place with respect to the middle stratum in China, and a new middle stratum composed of independent proprietors has arisen. As replacement of the old middle stratum by the new gathers speed, the typical middle stratum made up of workers in state-owned enterprises before the open-up policies has fallen into a decline. However, since the middle stratum is the most important force of maintaining social stability in any society, the author points out, measures must be worked out to change this situation. Steps that may quicken the transition from a period of economic polarization to that of the rise of the middle stratum should be taken in order to ensure steady and rapid economic growth in China.
