Harmonious development of science and humanities--On the tradition of Southeast University and its law of school running in the passed 100 years

From 1902 to 2002,in its process of school running,Southeast University never stopped studying the law and nature of modern higher education even in turbulent periods.Sticking to sustained development in both action and notion, the scholars and the teachers took the lead in advocating the academic atmosphere and discipline which led to the coming forth of talents in large numbers who consequently promoted the learning of more people and made contributions to society.The history of Southeast University shows that the law of its school running lies in the stress on the unity of knowledge and practice,on the harmonious development of science and humanities in a sustained way.
