东汉白波垒古战场考察报告

东汉末年,大规模的黄巾起义被镇压下去后,其余部以郭太为首的一支复起于"西河白波谷",并于此构筑垒壁为依托,拥众十万,转战各地,坚持斗争十年之久,成为山西地区古代组织最严密、规模最大、持续最久而历史影响深远的一次农民战争。由于古来文献记载失于过简,"西河白波谷"及其白波垒所在,长期扑朔迷离,学界歧议迭出,莫衷一是。文章系作者就此问题在考订文献基础上,两度深入现场之野外考察报告。

An Investigation Report on the Battlefields at Bai Bo Ramparts Constructed at the Close of the Eastern Han Dynasty

With Guo Tai as the commander,the surviving forces of the Yellow Turbans uprising (a large scale peasant uprising at the close of the Eastern Han dynasty,which was suppressed down later)revived at"Bai Bo Valley,the Western River",constructed ramparts there and fought for 10 years successively in different parts.This is the most well organized,the largest-scale and the most prolonged peasant war in ancient Shanxi area,which has a profound historical influence.The exact location of "Bai Bo Valley,the Western River"and the whereabouts of the ramparts have been a complicated and confusing matter among the scholars who have had conflicting and contradictory ideas about them.The authors of this report made on-the-spot field investigations twice and wrote this investigation report on the basis of textual research of the historical documents.(Note:The Western River refers geographically to a section of the Huanghe River stretching from the Great Bend of the Huanghe River to Fenglingdu Ferry.)
