王维诗佛辩

在中国山水诗的发展历史上 ,王维以“诗佛”著称。认为 ,这种说法有失偏颇。尽管王维以禅入诗 ,开拓了山水田园诗的表现领域 ,打造出山水田园诗空明净逸的境界 ,但王维一生不离官场 ,执着现实 ;又由于王维人格上的矛盾 (即在自我理想与龌龊的现实之间动摇、徘徊 ) ,造成王维诗歌思想上的不纯粹、艺术上的不混成。中国传统知识分子重人事轻学问的观念是形成王维人格上矛盾的重要原因 ;而王维崇高地位的形成 ,又与中国哲学的贫困导致的对哲学的渴求的人文心理有关。

Was Wang wei a pure buddhist- poet?

Wang wei has been known as a Poetry Buddhist in the history of Chinese mountain-river poetry.I maintain that this point of view is biased.Wangwei'poetry is full of Buddhism,which enlarges the area of mountains-river poetry and creates an empty-pure artistic concention nevertheless he had been sticking to reality and never given up pursuing official all his life.Besides that Wangwei was a paradoxical man in that he had been lingering between the ugly reality and his own ideal.All of these,I think,made his poetry not pure.Also,I think that Chinese intellectuals have always paid much attention to life but not to learning.This notion is the reason of Wangwei's paradoxical personallty.That Wangwei's praises has been sung lies in the humanistic psychology that the poverty of philosophy results in the thirst for philosophy in the history of China.
